Our hand therapists have had extensive training and experience in this specialized field and can begin therapy at a very early stage in a severely acute injury — as early as one day following surgery. This early therapy involvement can make a critical difference in the patient's recovery process in in regaining full use of the injured hand and/or upper extremity. Using a team approach with the referring physician supervising the overall treatment program, our therapists maintain close communication with the physician through reports and continuous re-evaluation of the patient's progress throughout the therapy program.
