Located in Fremont, California, Ergo-Rehab offers a wide array
of individualized comprehensive physical therapy and rehabilitation
programs designed to enable the patient to rapidly return to a full
and rewarding lifestyle.
Ergo's spacious and attractive facilities contain not only state-of-the-art
equipment, but are staffed by highly qualified personnel who utilize
progressive treatment techniques. Patients experience pleasant and
friendly surroundings with a minimum of waiting.
Back to Work. . . Back to Life
Our work rehabilitation programs are designed to enable the patient
to return to work in as rapid a time as possible. Work Capacity Evaluations and Work Tolerance Screening provide the therapist
and physician or vocational counselor with necessary information
relating to an individual's capabilities, aptitudes, interests,
and work habits to assist in determining appropriate vocational
direction and readiness to return to work. Work Hardening, one of
Ergo's more progressive services, is an individualized physical
reconditioning program that allows the patient to be involved
in work-related activities as soon as possible after their injury,
thus avoiding long periods of inactivity and the typical decline
of physical and motivational status.
Unique to Ergo-Rehab is the performance of Ergonomic Analysis.
Upon request and at the completion of the treatment program, the
therapist will visit the patient's work place and monitor
his/her activity. In this way, Ergo-Rehab can ensure that proper
work requirements are being met, and modifications, if any, can
be immediately made to avoid re-injury.
Early Stage and Acute Patients
Ergo therapists, combining their knowledge of treatment options
with a thorough understanding of anatomy, have the full capability
to begin working with a patient as early post-op as possible. Treatment
has been started with some patients as soon as one to three days
after surgery. Rehabilitation is generally more effective when started
early, thereby eliminating post-op complications and formation of
bad habits. Shorter rehabilitation times generally mean reduced
treatment costs.
Physician Support & Involvement
The Ergo-Rehab treatment programs, though somewhat exacting in
their requirements, allow for any desired level of physician involvement
and direction. Initial patient evaluation and reporting to the physician
is regular throughout treatment. Using a team approach with the
supervising physician, re-injury is prevented through rehabilitation
re-education and work and home modifications.
